For the third year, The PM Suite supported Women of Project Management in their annual conference. This was the first time in New Orleans, LA and it was beyond amazing.
This year, over 150 attendees gained access to information, connections and opportunities within the 2-day experience. There was so much covered that left the audience full and empowered. As a project management professional, this conference means a lot to the work accomplished here at The PM Suite.
The PM Suite helped:
Manage vendors
Coordinate speakers schedules
Maintain project budget
Coordinate with the event planner and hotel
Consistent project plan updates
There is so much that goes into launching a project, let alone one that incorporates a conference. The work outlined above is only a fraction of the many micro-tasks that occur to make for a successful event.
Did I mention we pulled off a surprise second line band on Day 1?! You just had to be there.
What made this experience even more special was meeting some of the PM Boss Academy students for the first time!
In addition to supporting as project manager, I also had the honor of moderating a panel of brilliant women on the topic of 12-Month Career Goal Setting. Speakers included Melissa Thomas, Shiva Walker and Megan Young Gamble. Each of these ladies, shared. vulnerable stories of triumph that resonated throughout the room.
Overall, Women of Project Management succeeded at another successful event and happy I could play a part. We will see you next year in New Orleans!
